Our Club

The Townsville Western Pleasure and Performance Horse Club was incorporated 4 decades ago and has been providing a venue for the nurturing of young cowboys and cowgirls since 1981. The Bartlett Park Rodeo is an iconic part of Townsville’s entertainment history, with a proud tradition of providing quality rodeo entertainment.

Bartlett Park is unique in that we don't just have rodeo's, We hold many club/training days throughout the year, including horsesports and rough stock.

For membership enquiries contact the club secretary.

Bartlett Park dedicated the new return gate to Life memeber Kevin Cox in 2014. Any one who knew Coxy knew this is a very fitting tribute.

Bartlett Park received $12,000 from the State Governments, Community and Gaming Fund to help finance the rebuilding of the bucking chutes. The total cost for the chutes was just on $25,000 but fabricators, Black River Cattle Equipment donated their time, materials and resources to keeping the cost to the grant figure.

Local State Government representative Craig Wallace officially opens the chutes with former President and man responsible for applying for the grant, Bill McGuffie.
